Artists Service

"Provide a personalized piano that meets an artist's specific needs."

This ideal system for pianists and piano technicians has already been done over 4000 times on stages throughout the nation and abroad.

Concept of Artists Service

Providing pianos specifically regulated for artists brings out the best in their performance. Together, the hall, the piano and the pianist create a unique concoction of sounds, that is, if you listen to the same pianist playing the same piano at a different concert hall, you will notice a difference in resound and touch. With the experience of providing more than 4000 pianos to concert halls and pianists, Takagi Klavier has extensive data on resonant tones of respective halls and pianos. Our Concert and Artist Department offers a wide range of instruments, including the golden age of New York Steinway that seek to achieve the ideal sound, to meet any personal requirements of artists. Takagi Klavier USA, affiliate company, is also providing pianos for concerts and recordings in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and other places upon request.

What's New York Steinway?

Steinway & Sons was established in 1853 by Henry E. Steinway in New York. Though Steinway built a factory in Hamburg in 1880, the head office and designing department remain in New York. From the late 19th century to the early 20th century, Rachmaninoff, Rubinstein, Horowitz, Glen Gould, and other great masters of the era played New York Steinway pianos. New York Steinway pianos were considered the finest piano with a keen understanding of the specific needs of individual artists. We are now recreating the sounds of these piano masters by rebuilding Vintage Steinway with materials from that time.
